About the role
The Media & Communications Coordinator supports the effective delivery of the TAC's road safety messages through broadcast, print and digital media.
The role is responsible for using corporate affairs skills to protect, maintain and improve the TAC's reputation through media issues management and communication opportunities.
In addition to undertaking proactive and reactive media activity, the Coordinator also plays a supporting role for the Media Relations and Corporate Affairs Team Manger and Media & Communications Advisor.
About the Team
Media Relations & Corporate Affairs is a small, collaborative and dynamic team including a Team Manager, Media Relations and Corporate Affairs, and Media and Communications Advisor.
The team fosters a supportive environment and strong relationships with stakeholders such as media outlets, journalists, Department of Transport and Planning and Victorian government.
What we're looking for Strong Written Communication Skills
The ability to deliever clear and impactful communications is essential.
This includes preparing media releases, responses, and talking points that effectively convey the TAC's messages and initiatives.

Media Event Management
Managing end-to-end event management tasks such as bookings, managing external suppliers, event logistics and drafting event briefs for TAC spokespeople and the Minister's office
Media and Social Media Monitoring
Managing and monitoring of media and social media activities; including management of external providers, campaign evaluations supporting other areas within Community Division.
As well as the development of multimedia content creation including management of external providers, writing, filming and editing.
