Details of the offer

Company Description
Welcome to Ability Action Australia! We are a multi-disciplinary team of allied health practitioners providing services within the NDIS landscape. We are passionate about empowering participants to achieve their goals and engage in the activities most important to them. We love what we do, and we hope you will too!
Job Description About Us: We love nothing more than seeing our participants achieve their goals. We live and breathe capacity building and hope to empower participants by:
Using a strengths-based approach to guide our assessment, goals and ultimately our intervention. Using a combination of standardised and non-standardised assessments, curated to the participants' needs to guide our clinical reasoning. Delivering much-needed Occupational Therapy interventions to participants within the setting best matched to their goals, whether that be at school, at home, work or in the community. Collaborating with our local multi-disciplinary team of Occupational Therapists, Exercise Physiologists, Physiotherapists and Behaviour Support Practitioners. We have a large and diverse OT team based locally here in Brisbane, who each have unique caseloads tailored to their own interests and passions. We currently have clinical caseloads covering areas such as early intervention (including infants 0-12 months), paediatrics, adults, complex assistive technology (paeds and adults), home modifications and psychosocial disabilities.
On a personal level, we are a dynamic bunch of clinicians who exude a passion for disability. We want to see the best in each other, just as we do our participants. We have been known to hold games nights, testing out our new physio technology or having a wine at a paint and sip, or the local pub. Babies (and fur babies) are always welcome in the office and are part of the team. Whether you are keen on coming out and spending time as a team, or your family life and home is your priority – there is a place for everyone!
About you: You've been an OT for at least a year. You've had some experience working within the disability / NDIS landscape. Passionate about OT services to vulnerable members of the community. Looking for a fun, collaborative and supportive work environment! A driver's license and full access to a vehicle. Qualifications All suitable candidates MUST have the following: An allied health qualification in Occupational Therapy. General Registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency). Additional Information As you support many, we support you! We offer: A clinical caseload that you are passionate about and fills your cup! Whether you're a paediatric OT, an adult OT, or like a mix of both – we make sure your caseload fits both your individual learning goals and passion areas. Creative solutions to making work fit into your home life, and not the other way around. The exploration and navigation of complex situations via 1:1 supervision curated to your learning style. Engaging and relevant professional development and clinical support through local and national journal clubs, in-services, and group supervisions. Professional development opportunities to enhance your clinical and professional skills. Career planning and development: We care about your career goals and can offer unlimited leadership and career growth options through Ability Action Australia and our parent company, MedHealth. Multiple ways of acknowledging how hard you work each and every day, in a way that makes you feel valued and meets your needs. This could be in the form of incentive programs with attractive financial bonuses or time away from work to spend with your loved ones! Plus all of the essentials such as EAP, fitness passport and 12 weeks maternity leave. Does this opportunity EXCITE you? Then, we want to hear from you! Click on the APPLY button or please contact me, Karissa, on 0447 093 616 or email to have a confidential discussion about this role.
