Job Description Role Summary ELA is owner of the Arnhem Space Centre (ASC) a space port south of Nhulunbuy where customers can conduct orbital, sub-orbital launch and testing campaigns for rockets.
You will:
Report to the Head of Engineering as part of ELA's Design Engineering Team.Collaborate with other discipline engineers on the Design Engineering Team to continue development of the Arnhem Space Centre (ASC) and deliver system critical infrastructure.Design, develop and deliver Industrial Control Systems at the ASC.Establish industrial instrumentation data acquisition systems.Interact with system vendors and launch clients alike to assess mechanical and electronic interfaces and requirements.Develop capability to remotely operate launch pad technologies during launch operations.Qualifications About You You should have: An Honours Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Additional training and skills are always welcome.2+ years of experience in Industrial Control Engineering.Experience in designing and implementing hydraulics systems.Knowledge of control system design, implementation and tuning.Hands-on experience with computer aided engineering tools. (MATLAB, Simulink, ANSYS, SolidWorks, etc.)Technical writing skills.You should be: Curious to find solutions where others may not think to look.Keen to share your knowledge and expertise and accept the knowledge and expertise of your colleagues.A good communicator able to write appropriately based on your audience.Eager to work in a start-up/scale-up business where you'll be required to take on duties outside your specific title.A good teammate.
