About the Role
As a mechatronics engineer in this dynamic manufacturing company, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing machinery upgrades and CAPEX projects with a direct report to the Engineering Manager. Your knowledge in process analysis will play a crucial role in enhancing product quality and your expertise in troubleshooting will also allow you to assist the maintenance and production teams to reduce downtimes and overall manufacturing costs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering principles, process improvement methodologies, and a passion for driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and manage machinery upgrades, modifications, and replacements. Manage CAPEX projects from inception to completion. Assist the maintenance department with installation and commissioning of new, and diagnose existing, equipment. Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting to resolve production issues. Support manufacturing teams to improve productivity & quality. Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process guidelines to ensure consistency and compliance with regulatory requirements. Manage new product introduction by collaborating with R&D, preparing factory infrastructure, and establishing processes required to manufacture a new product range. About You Tertiary qualification in a relevant engineering discipline (electrical, mechatronics, mechanical, or similar). Practical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment with a proven competency in process design and control. Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Pneumatic & hydraulic controls experience. Competency using AutoCAD and SOLIDWORKS. Salary: $100 - $120K + Super (dependent on experience level)
