Mechanical Tradesperson

Grange Resources Tasmania is on the lookout for a Mechanical Tradesperson to join our operation in Port Latta.
This position will include assisting in repairs and servicing all fixed plant equipment, including tank farm, pumps, conveyors, furnaces and ship loading reclaimers & equipment.
Day to day In this role you will be responsible for: Working an even time 7 on / 7 off rotating day/night roster Carrying out and assisting in all mechanical maintenance and repairs to fixed plant and equipment Working safely and undertaking all duties required for the position in a diligent and competent manner Assisting in continuous improvement and process development projects within the Maintenance team Who you are To be successful in this role you have: Certificate 3 Mechanical Engineering (Fitter) Current full manual drivers' licence Good interpersonal, organisational skills Sound knowledge and understanding of mechanical maintenance concepts and principles.
Previous fixed plant maintenance experience would be advantageous Current high-risk licences- Forklift, EWP, Dogging, Rigging, Scaffolding would advantageous Who we are We're Grange Resources , Australia's oldest and most experienced magnetite producer - combining both mining and pellet production expertise.
Based in northwest Tasmania, we own and operate Australia's largest integrated iron ore mining and pellet production business.
Grange holds long term supply contracts for one million tonnes of its annual production and offers the balance of its production to market via a spot sales tendering/contracting process.

It produces over 2.2 million tonnes of premium quality iron ore product annually.
The Port Latta worksite is only an hours drive away from the vibrant coastal towns of north-west Tasmania, which offers a fantastic regional lifestyle and is only an hour's flight from Melbourne with regular services from airports at Burnie, Devonport and Launceston.
