Where do you want to go?Bayer CropScience Pinkenba is seeking a full time, permanent Mechanical Tradesperson (Fitter) to join our manufacturing site. Undertaking maintenance and repairs on a wide range of mechanical equipment including production machinery, conveyors, pumps, mills, motors, automated valves, pipes and pneumatic systems.
This position will be Monday – Friday 6.30 AM with an approx. 3.00 PM finish
Do something that moves you.Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairsInvestigate and troubleshooting equipment failures and implement improvements to eliminate recurrence and maximum achievable production uptime and equipment availabilityMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including equipment maintenance logs, repair histories, and spare parts inventoryCreate, review and follow work instructionsOperate ERP systems for workflowLaise with stakeholders and providing regular updates on priority ranking, access, fault finding and planned maintenanceCollaborate with the engineering department, external contractors, equipment manufacturers and vendors as requiredComplete all work in a safe manner including completing Lock out, tag out, Take 5, permit to work and near miss reportingDoes this sound like you?Required Skills & Experience:
Recognised trades certificate – minimum certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical (Mechanical fitter) or higherProven experience working in a manufacturing or a chemical machinery environment, with demonstrable experience working with pumps, mills, automated valves and pipesExperience with PLC controlled filling and packaging equipment highly regardedStrong fault finding ability and a high level of technical aptitudeAbility to read and understand Piping and Instruction DiagramBasic machining, welding, and fabrication skillsMake a commitment to adhere to all safety standards and proceduresSound computer skills. Knowledge of SAP would be beneficialFull Australian work rightsDesirable Skills & Experience
