An exciting opportunity has become available for a Mechanical Technician to join one of our key clients at the Ampol Refinery. For 10+ years, Wood has held a Maintenance contract at Lytton and has been heavily embedded into the Ampol culture with a strong focus on team alignment across the contracting teams.
This role will play a pivotal part in the continued support of our maintenance contract at Ampol, as well as being part of a supportive and innovative team.

As Wood's next Mechanical Technician, the below skills and qualifications are required:
Proven track record in successfully overhauling and maintaining rotating machineryMust be Fitter & Turner Trade Qualified with proven maintenance experience in heavy industry environmentsIn-depth understanding of pumps, valves, vessels, pipework, and pressure safety valves (PSVs)Proficient in the maintenance and operation of turbines and associated equipmentHands-on experience in the overhaul and maintenance of reciprocal compressorsStrong understanding and practical application of precision machine alignment principlesProficient in managing flanges, including installation, inspection, and maintenanceWillingness and flexibility to participate in an on-call roster for emergency response and maintenance needs
