With several generations of family ownership and extensive experience, they've emerged as a leader in the global Spring Industry, integrating years of knowledge into our products.Dobinsons Spring & Suspension prides themselves on having the world's largest range of 4x4 spring and suspension componentry.They are seeking highly skilled and trade qualified Mechanical Technician to join their team of professionals on a full time and permanent basis.The role includes but is not limited to:Conduct routine and preventive mechanical maintenance tasks on vehicle and equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and longevityStudy drawings and specifications to determine suitable material, method and sequence of operations and machine settingsRepairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as neededReplacing/fitting of fabricated metal parts into products and assembling metal parts and subassembliesChecking fabricated and assembled metal parts for accuracy, clearance and fit using precision measuring instrumentsDiagnose vehicle/equipment malfunctions, perform repairs, and execute corrective maintenance to prevent operational disruptionsCarry out inspections to identify potential issues and troubleshoot problems efficientlyCollaborate with the team to implement improvement strategies for equipment reliability and performanceMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements and inspectionsMay inspect vehicles and issue roadworthiness certificates or detail work required to achieve roadworthinessMay respond to vehicle or equipment breakdown service callsComply with safety standards and regulations, ensuring a safe working environmentTo be considered for this role, you must have:Trade qualification as Mechanical Technician or equivalentWith at least 4 years of proven experience as mechanical technician or similar roleProficiency in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical equipmentAble to use wide range of hand and power toolsStrong knowledge of troubleshooting technique and problem-solving skillsAbility to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagramsExcellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance tasksPhysically fit and able to work in various conditionsAbility to work well both independently and in a team environmentStrong communication and reporting skillsSelf-motivated, organised, punctual and reliableMust have great work ethicsIf you meet the above criteria and would like to be considered for this position, please apply now!Salary: Between $70,000 and $75,000 per annum + SuperJob Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: $70,000.00 – $75,000.00 per yearWork Location: In person
