Mechanical Team Leader - West Footscray

About the role
This position is an integral and critical member of the site operations team. It is also a core member of the maintenance leadership team.
The West Footscray site operates 24hr 6 days per week. Engineering functions are carried out during normal and outside of these operating hours. The role requires an experienced Mechanical trade with further training as an instrument technician to ensure correct controls and standards are in place for all maintenance activities across the site.
ResponsibilitiesEffective communication with internal and external customersInitiating and fostering strong relationships with site stakeholdersProviding technical-based solutionsProviding factual feedback when needed to support decision-making processesManaging competing prioritiesBecoming comfortable and competent with the various operating systems on siteStrategic planning for future demand and staged replacement of existing aging equipment. Ensure maintenance and utilization of existing equipment to a maximum life to result in customer delivery not impacted by existing aging equipmentProviding flexibility through overtime support as neededAbout your experience
Our successful candidate will come to us with demonstrated mechanical ability and leadership experience within a maintenance environment. Other key skills and experiences we are looking for include:
Mechanical trade or Engineering background within a manufacturing environment (FMCG experience would be advantageous)Demonstrated knowledge of preventative maintenance systems/tasksAbility to work in a team environmentAble to work independently and accept responsibilityGood written and verbal communicationInstallation and maintenance of equipment in hazardous area zone qualifiedReady to apply?
