We take pride in our focus on safety, while driving a strong people-focused culture to make transformations toward a sustainable and smart future.About the roleDue to ongoing growth and contract development, Verbrec has a vacant position that would suit a Mechanical Team Lead/Manager or a Lead Mechanical Engineer who's ready to step up and has a wealth of experience, predominantly in the Mining, Oil and Gas or renewables industries.Key responsibilities of this position include:Deliver project requirements according to agreed schedules consistent with Verbrec and clients' quality standardsMaintain mechanical engineering standards across all projectsProvide technical guidance to junior engineers and peersRecommend improvements to engineering systems and processesContinuous development of industry networks and contactsParticipating in business development activities related to mechanical engineering disciplineAbout youYou will have the ability to independently win and run projects, lead and oversee the development of a growing team of people, highly experienced in technical mechanical engineering, and work as part of a multi-disciplinary team on small/medium size brownfield projects. You will also have:Experience in a range of mechanical engineering skills, particularly fitness for service, vessels and static equipmentExperience in carrying out mechanical engineering design and documentation from concept through to construction stageExperience working in oil and gas facilities, or mining, or similar heavy or manufacturing industriesAssist in the development, application and preservation of engineering and design standards, systems and processesExperience using PV Elite and AutoPIPE programs or other design programs is a strong advantageExperience generating engineering estimates and quotationsAbility to work independently on multiple projects with conflicting deadlinesDegree or equivalent experience/qualifications is mandatory (Mechanical or Mechatronics)Registered Professional Engineer in Queensland (RPEQ)The new Verbrec brand represents our evolution and continued growth by leveraging emerging techniques and technologies for the benefit of our clients.
