Mechanical-Structural Drafter – Wollongong

Our Wollongong based engineering and drafting consultancy that provides services to a variety of clients in the industrial, mining and construction industries across the Illawarra region and beyond is seeking a Mechanical-Structural Drafter to join the team.
We are experiencing continuing strong demand for our services and an opportunity exists to join our design team supporting our clients from one of our Illawarra offices. The position can include both Capital projects and ongoing plant support.
To succeed in this position, you will need to demonstrate;
Relevant technical qualifications.Significant experience with Inventor 3D modelling and production of drawings is essential, ideally including Vault.Significant AutoCAD experienceExcellent knowledge of mechanical, structural and heavy plate work designAble to prepare drawings & contribute to the design ofGeneral heavy industrial equipmentSteel processing linesMechanical & materials handling equipment, including but not limited to conveyors, hopper, chutes, material transfer systemsSteel structuresPlant LayoutsDesign experience associated with steel production, iron ore, coal, or other related industriesMinimum 5-10 years relevant industry experienceAbility to work with direction and supervision from engineerFamiliarity with relevant Australian StandardsExcellent communication skillsThis position is offered tocurrent Australian residentsas apermanent or contract role withopportunities for Employee Share Ownership and a great working environment.
