Company: Gold Fields Group Services (Pty) LtdReporting to the Superintendent: Projects at Granny Smith, you will be responsible for the coordination of all mechanical project related issues on site to achieve budgeted production targets, meeting all quality standards including cost, safety, and environment.About the role:Proactively seek stakeholder engagement for all projects, and effectively communicate relevant information;Assist in managing day-to-day activities of the Project team inclusive of business partners to ensure awareness and achievement of project deliverables;Conduct regular inspections and audits specially checking compliance of established standards and procedures for safety and production;Assisting in the development of AFE's where required, encouraging participation and buy-in from team members;Ensure minimal disruption to production through the ready access to critical parts and equipment and service providers;Develop and maintain good working relationships with external companies and internal departments;Ensure clear and routine communication with Projects Superintendent regarding project progress, project and cost alignment to the plan.
Escalate forecast deviations and/or unforeseen changes in scope.About you:Possess a recognised trade qualificationIdeally possess a Project Management qualificationProven experience in a similar role in an underground mining environmentDemonstrate application of continuous improvement ideasProject management experience on infrastructure projectsGold Fields is committed to achieving an inclusive workforce.
