Mechanical Project EngineerAbout Our Client:Our client is a leader in engineering solutions for the mining and materials handling industries. They are seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer with experience in underground conveyor systems to join their team. This role focuses on the design, technical support, and lifecycle management of coal clearance systems in underground mining operations.Role Overview:You will apply your mechanical engineering expertise to design and support underground conveyor systems, while engaging directly with clients and stakeholders. This is a dynamic, hands-on role where you'll manage the technical aspects of projects, conduct site visits, and lead tender negotiations.Key Responsibilities:Design and analyze underground coal conveyor systems, including power and tension calculations.Use Inventor and ANSYS for 3D modeling and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).Act as the primary technical contact for clients, handling inquiries and building strong relationships.Collaborate with sales teams during tendering, preparing scopes of work, pricing sketches, and ensuring client satisfaction.Conduct site inspections (1-2 times per month) to support project implementation.Prepare technical documentation, including manuals and parts lists.Required Skills & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in bulk material handling or mining.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, and ANSYS for modeling and analysis.Strong knowledge of underground conveyor systems, power and tension calculations.Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a focus on client relationships.Ability to travel for site inspections.Why Join Our Client:Competitive salary and benefits.Opportunities to work on cutting-edge projects in the mining industry.Supportive and collaborative team culture.Relocation packages available for candidates willing to relocate for the role.If you are an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a passion for underground conveyors and bulk material handling, we want to hear from you!
