Mechanical Project Engineer

Are you an experienced Mechanical project engineer seeking a long temp contract on a large scale construction project? We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Project Engineer to join our client for an exciting project involving the decommissioning of a power station located in Kwinana. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in planning, coordinating, and executing various mechanical aspects of the decommissioning process, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgetary constraints, and safety protocols. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project managers, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to develop and execute comprehensive decommissioning plans Support project manager during decommissioning, demolition, site remediation phases Conduct thorough assessments of mechanical systems, equipment, and infrastructure within the power station to identify potential hazards, risks, and environmental considerations Manage contract package budget in execution phase - may range in order of AUD $1-$10 million Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field Understanding of decommissioning/demolition/site remediation 5-8 years of experience in project/contract management, engineering, and construction environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
