Great opportunity for growth and development Mount Isa, Queensland, Australia Work a 4 on 4 off 4 on 2 off roster Mechanical Leading Hand – Technical Officer Smelting & Refining, Lead Smelter – Mechanical Maintenance Mount Isa, Queensland, Australia Ref No. 34962We are actively seeking an experienced Fitter or Boilermaker to take the next step in their career and drive the continued performance and safety of the Lead Smelter. This position is suited to those who can lead safety, coach teams and troubleshoot mechanical systems. This is a residential role in accordance with a 4/4/4/2 roster configuration.The successful candidate will be responsible for:Troubleshooting a range of fixed plant repairs and maintenance Undertaking preventive maintenance and break down repairs on equipment such as pumps, conveyor systems and hydraulic systems Scoping jobs, ordering parts and developing work packs. Managing and developing small teams of tradespersons and apprentices. Working with maintenance planners and engineers to rectify persistent maintenance issues Work hands on with teams to ensure quality maintenance outcomes You will have the following skillset and attributes: Australian recognised trade qualification – Mechanical Fitter or Boilermaker +4 years' experience working in a mining/heavy industrial environment Experience with Ellipse and/or similar program will be beneficial. Hold a current manual Australian driver's license Rigging/Dogging, EWP and Forklift tickets are preferable.
