We have a Great Employment Opportunity for a MECHANICAL/HYDRAULICS TECHNICIAN.
Positions are based in ROCKHAMPTON, QLD, and if required, DEPCO will offer FIFO Roster or assistance with relocation.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Installation, maintenance, and repair of hydraulic systemsHydraulic installations, including PTOs, pumps, cylinders, hoists, power packs, wet kits, and valvingInstallations, repairs, and services of truck-mounted cranes and tailgate loadersElectrical wiring for cranes, tailgate loaders, and power packsFault finding and carrying out annual services on cranes and tailgate loadersAuto electrical knowledgeReading of hydraulic schematicsUndertake hydraulic maintenance tasks during shut down periods; replacement of hydraulic components, pipework installations, inspections, and testing of equipmentTroubleshoot hydraulic issues on fixed plant assetsAssist in the execution, installation, and commissioning of bespoke projectsEnsure a high level of safe work practices undertaken at sitePerform preventative maintenance to avoid operational failures of hydraulic systemsWelding, metal fabrication, and electrical assemblyProvide drawing review and suggestions related to part inspection and testingUse computers and other technologies to investigate and repair hydraulic equipmentReassemble machines and equipmentRead dials and meters to determine amperage, voltage, electrical output and input at specific operating temperatures to analyze parts performanceOperate drill press, grinders, engine lathe, or other machines to modify parts tested or to fabricate experimental parts for testingIf you possess the skills required for this role and you feel this job is for you, please apply now!
