We are seeking a communicative and methodicalMechanical Workshop Foreman to join our Maintenance Team.
Our ideal candidate is a person who is highly organised, proactive, safety conscious and possesses strong leadership skills.
The Mechanical Workshop Foreman will work within and lead a small team to attend to mechanical maintenance and services within Scenic World.
This is a varied role, if you like a new and different challenge each day, then this role is for you!
Duties will include:
Overseeing the daily operations of the Mechanical team, to ensure efficient levels of teamwork and productivity for rides and general mechanical maintenanceReporting and resolving hazards as necessary and following up any of these relevant to Mechanical workContinually monitor maintenance procedures for efficiency and legislative compliance, update and distribute as requiredDaily liaising with team members, ensuring all daily duties and job requests are assessed to decide if a JSA is required and then allocate.Ensure JSA's are completed for all tasks as and when requiredTrain staff on JSA development where requiredMonitor team member performance and carry out formal review sessions, in line with the timeline set by Scenic WorldMonitor staff training requirements and ensure team member competencies are up to dateTo be successful in this role, you will possess and demonstrate:
Tertiary qualification in a mechanical trade, or relevant work experience in a mechanical trade, or a combination of both qualifications and work experienceA high level of supervisory skills and proven ability in getting the best from peopleA high level of organisational skills, the ability to set priorities, plan and execute activitiesAbility to work independently and as a team under broad directionDemonstrated ability to problem solve complex tasksStrong communication skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution skillsClass C drivers licence and the ability to drive a manualPrior experience working on amusement rides/attractions or prior experience in the Tourism Industry is advantageousWe would love to hear from people with fantastic communication skills, a can do attitude and the ability to successfully lead a team.
