Your New Team and Role We have an exciting opportunity available for a qualified and experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our busy team in Somersby.
Reporting to the Workshop Coordinator, this position is for the Afternoon shift and is responsible for mechanical maintenance, service, repairs and assembly of conveyor systems, structure and components.
The position is also responsible for ensuring product quality standards are met, and work is carried out to customer specifications.
Working in a team environment, you will perform a variety of mechanical tasks on conveyor components and systems by using and applying mechanical knowledge, skills and technical competencies.
This includes but is not limited to: General fitting including fitment of gearboxes and motors, laser alignment, fitment of couplings, assemble pulleys and general assembly of conveyor equipment and components.
Maintain and use mechanical equipment as designed and effectively diagnose and fault-find mechanical equipment Inspect, analyse and record critical mechanical information during the process of undertaking mechanical refurbishment work Provide mechanical solutions to customer issues General machining About you We are looking for a team player who is self-driven and possesses the following skills and experience: Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter.
Minimum 3 years' mechanical fitting experience, working in a heavy industrial environment.
Experience in the Conveyor Industry and/or pulley assembly is highly desirable Proven ability in planning and managing jobs Forklift Licence (desirable, but not essential) Experience with overhead cranes Dogging ticket (desirable, but not essential) What's in it for you?
