Autocycle International is seeking a self-motivated and experienced Mechanical Fitter to join the team at our brand-new recycling facility located in Altona North.
This hands-on role will be on a morning shift full-time basis, reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Duties & responsibilities: Operating fixed & mobile plant and equipment such as tyre shredders or granulators, forklifts, skid steer loaders, etc.Perform maintenance tasks including greasing, blade changes, inspections, etc.Assessing and prioritising breakdown service requirements.Accurate and timely completion of paperwork & upkeep of equipment maintenance logs.Work closely with Maintenance Planner & Team Leaders on strategy development, ensuring optimal plans are executed.Assist the production processes to ensure that trade released product meets quality specifications.Ensuring Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) policies and procedures are followed.Driving continuous improvement in our onsite processes.Qualifications & experience: Experience in a similar position with relevant tickets.MIG & ARC welding and fabrication experience.EWP licence and experience.Ability to interpret technical documents (engineering drawings, operation manuals).Solid understanding of mechanical processes.Current High Risk Work Licence (preference for WP, DG, LF).Keen attention to accuracy & detail.Driver's licence.Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen.About us: Autocycle International is a forward-thinking recycler that focuses on solving the country's waste problems.
