About this role Sydney Water have partnered with Delivering 4 Customers (D4C) to deliver; design, construct, maintenance and facilities management services across the Southern Region of Sydney.

D4C is seeking a Mechanical Fitter to join our dynamic, diverse and high performing team in an exciting time of growth.
Primary Purpose? This role will play a hands-on role installing and maintaining pumping systems, valves, and associated pipework across various Sewer Pumping Station upgrade projects.
Working closely with supervisors, to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and compliance.
Key Accountabilities Report directly to the Supervisors and support the timely delivery of projects, ensuring all tasks are completed within designated timelines, to the required quality standards Take responsibility for compliance testing, connection works, other associated plant operations, confined space works, pit building, general concreting, and labouring Install pumps, pumping systems, valves, and associated pipework to meet project specifications Utilise strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with supervisors, team members, key stakeholders and clients Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, particularly when working under pressure or in emergency situations Adhere to safety protocols and standards, ensuring all works are completed within regulatory frameworks Operate and maintain equipment and tools to a high standard of performance and safety Maintain a regular work schedule, working 40hrs per week, Monday to Friday (7:00 am start) Essential Mechanical Trade qualification or similar discipline Recent experience in a similar role, ideally including confined space work, testing, maintenance, and experience with water/sewer projects NSW Drivers Licence White Card Desirable: Truck licence (MR/HR), Dogman, First Aid, Excavator Statement of Attainment, Confined Space, Working at Heights, Elevated Work Platform (EWP), Poly Welding, FIFM Training, Control Electrical Risks on Metallic Pipes Certification.
Operating Monday to Friday – 7am start - 40 hours per week, you will also support capital work projects working ad hoc rostered night shifts.
