Mechanical Fitter

IKAD Engineering is a proud Western Australian private company with a national and international footprint.
We provide a broad range of Project Management and Engineering solutions across a wide variety of Industry Sectors including Defence, Industrial, Mining, Marine, Oil & Gas, and Water Technology.
We are currently seeking applications for suitably qualified and experienced Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitters to join our friendly local team.
These are full time locally based roles.
As such, the roles will suit those looking for the work life balance.
Reporting to the Mechanical Supervisors, you will be responsible for providing mechanical maintenance services within the naval/commercial ship repair & industrial sectors in a safe and efficient manner.
The Role:

Conduct overhauling of various mechanical units in the workshop or on site to a high standard and as specified
Monitor the progress of project deliverables against required delivery dates
Measure, calibrate and record mechanical sizes and equipment
Work in accordance with the company and client site HSEQ policies
Complete and maintain project documentation (work instructions, test and inspections plans, task risk assessments and quality records.)
Conduct equipment inspections to identify shortages, system defects and any other equipment issues
Complete work against strict deadlines and schedules

What you will bring to the team:

Australian Recognised Trade qualification (Mechanical Fitter)
White Card (essential)
Punctuality, attention to detail ability to work to deadlines

Essential Criteria:

White Card.
(CSAT)
5+ Years Post Trade.
Demonstrate fitness for work and possess the ability to pass drug and alcohol screening.
Be suitably experienced with the execution of site and workshop based duties.
Be prepared to work mid-week and weekend overtime at short notice if required.
Possess a current Driver's License.
Have the ability to obtain military facility access and provide a clean police clearance.
The Desirable Criteria

Defence and/or Marine Industry experience
Rigger/dogging recognized qualification.
Forklift Ticket.
Confined Space.
Elevated Work Platform
