About the Role Our Bayswater Maintenance Facility is currently seeking Heavy Mining Equipment (HME) or Off Highway Vehicle (OHV) Technicians with either mechanical or electrical expertise to join our team and work on wheel motors. This permanent, full-time role offers a Monday to Friday schedule (6:00 am – 2:30 pm) with opportunities for overtime.
Your Responsibilities as an HME/OHV Technician: Disassembling, inspecting, requalifying, assembling, and testing HME/OHV wheel motors.Measuring and inspecting critical journals and key componentsCleaning and conducting requalification inspections on bearings, gears, and other mechanical partsWorking collaboratively in a supportive team that values diversity and fresh perspectivesActively participating in a safe and inclusive work environmentContributing to UGL's One HSE culture, which prioritizes safety, health, and environmental sustainabilityAbout You We believe diverse experiences and perspectives fuel our success. To thrive in this role, you will have:
A trade qualification in Mechanical or Electrical fields, such as Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanic, Mechanical Fitter, or Electrical FitterExperience in HME maintenance (Komatsu 930, 830, 730, CAT MT4400) or component overhauls (wheel motors, traction motors, gearboxes, hoists, spindles)Strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to continuous learningExperience with industrial gearboxes, brakes, wheel motors is desirable but not essentialExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalA valid driver's licenceFull Australian unlimited work rightWhy Choose UGL?
