We are looking for a site-based Mechanical Fitter required for general fitting and assembly duties to all forms of equipment, this will involve providing safe, effective and timely mechanical maintenance to our equipment. You will be responsible for optimising plant operational capacity, including induction furnaces, sand transportation systems, CNC machines and hydraulic presses. In addition to the heavy machinery exposure, the role sits within a highly skilled, collaborative team of tradespeople with opportunity for leadership development and career growth. Hone your heavy machinery skills within a highly diverse manufacturing environment. This role is a rotating roster consisting of 4 days/nights on, 4 days/nights off. Attractive allowances apply! Key Responsibilities: Completing workshop repairs and refurbishments on critical equipment.Inspecting and repairing mechanical infrastructure.Repair, maintain and test equipment as per scope of work.Preventative maintenance of plant and equipment, with a focus on maintaining safety and maximising production.Resolve operational and technical equipment concerns.Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviours in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture. Job Knowledge: Minimum qualification – Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Mechanical Fitter).Ability to work with mathematical concepts.Experience with heavy machinery, fault finding, repairs of equipment.Welding and machining experience is (Desirable, but not essential)Ability to effectively communicate and write reports.Competent with the use of CMMS (computerized maintenance management system).
