UGL Defence has recently been awarded the contract to manage the Defence fuel related Asset Management, Operations and Maintenance. We are recruiting Mechanical Fitters to join our Operations & Maintenance team in what is an exciting opportunity to work in the Australia Defence Environment, supporting the national security requirements of the Nation.
The Role Reporting through to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be based at one of two main sites in Perth's surrounding suburbs, with occasional regional travel. These duties will include, but are not limited to:
Perform scheduled maintenance and service of fuel installation assets and equipment.Diagnostics and repair in a breakdown environment of fuel related assets and equipment.Project work as required on the fuel installation and related assets and equipment.Support subcontracted work packages as required.Support various sites in greater Perth region, with occasional requirement to travel to regional locations in WA.What you Need You will be a strong team player, a self-starter and dedicated employee that will draw on your experience and diverse skills to deliver high quality outcomes for UGL and our customer. We expect the successful applicants to have the following:
Trade qualified (mechanical) with relevant post-trade experience.Proven experience working in fixed plant maintenance, ideally fuel services or Oil & Gas.Experience working within the defence fuels network or defence industry will be highly regarded.Confined space and working at heights tickets will be highly regarded.Safety is at the forefront of everything you do!Currently hold, or ability to obtain appropriate Defence Security Clearance.What we Offer This is an opportunity to join UGL as a full-time employee, on a long-term contract within the Defence sector.
