We will also deliver 6 DMU railcars to replace the five diesel railcars that operate the twice-daily Australind service between Perth and Bunbury.Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this role would see you perform all mechanical installations to complete the assembly of the train, where no day will be the same!
We have several opportunities for both qualified and unqualified Mechanical Fitters (Mechanical Tradespeople or Mechanical Trade Assistants) to join our team at Bellevue to enjoy a range of benefits and a close-knit, hardworking team environment.Read, apply technical documentation suppliedInstall and assemble railway vehicle components using standard work procedures, hand & power toolsUse and manipulate lifting and transporting devices such as overhead cranes to install, replace and align subassemblies and componentsEnsure that all work is efficiently planned in Bogie Shop and Assembly workshop, controlled and undertaken in a safe manner to the standards set down by the customer and AlstomPerform self-inspection of railway car components in order to identify defects and ensure qualityRemove and replace defective parts and componentsProficiently cross-reference technical documents and highlight any discrepancies to the supervisor and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and production targetsWork closely with support functions to identify and propose suggestions for continuous improvementOrganize work instruction documents, tools and railway car parts dailyAll about you.
