UGL Utilities are looking for Mechanical Fitters to join the preservation crew on the Hunter Power Project.
The Hunter Power Project is the construction of a 660MW Power Station comprising of two heavy-duty open cycle gas turbines.
Located in the in the Hunter Valley region of New South Wales, 35 km west of Newcastle.
About You: Minimum 5 years experience in Oil and Gas or Power Generation industry.
Fit mechanical plant (pumps, valves, pipework, rotating equipment etc.)
Fabricate steel structures (platforms, supports, pipework, etc.)
Read and interpret drawings supplied by a supervisor or client representative.
Team player and able to follow Quality Principles Follow written and/or verbal instructions provided by a supervisor client's representative.
Adherence to UGL's Critical Risks and Controls, Policies , procedures SWMS and Take 5s Complete preservation and General Mechanical fitting duties as requested by the preservation Supervisor Site wide preservation of Mechanical Equipment Carry out routine tasks for all equipment along with monitoring construction to ensure protection of customers assets.
Rotating equipment and setup of Dehumidifiers Installation of Lubricants.
Experience with setup of Nitrogen Blankets, piping systems and vessels.
Confined Space Works may be required.
