A rewarding opportunity currently exists for a Mechanical Fitter to join our Sibanye Stillwater Australia team based at Karumba Port.
This position will be offered on a 16/12 FIFO roster or 5/2 residential roster, located in the popular tourist town of Karumba, QLD.
Key Responsibilities: Maintain infrastructure, ancillary and mobile equipment and attend to breakdowns at the Karumba Port processing facility to ensure the Port meets production requirements safely and efficiently and in an environmentally sound manner.Conduct preventive maintenance of plant and equipment in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations with a focus on maintaining site safety and maximising production.Perform all routine preventative maintenance as per the site daily, weekly, monthly and annual schedules.Initiate and complete work orders and ensure timely sign off of completed work, including relevant feedback information and technical reports as required.Resolve operational and technical equipment problems to minimise processing interruptions resulting from equipment breakdowns/failures.Use workshop equipment for repairing and manufacturing components including light metal fabrication.Monitor levels of mechanical consumables and order as required.Complete mechanical work checklists, inspections and other documentation as required to ensure historical data is kept for reliability purposes.Qualifications: Elevated work platform operator (desirable)Current C and MR class driver's license (manual)Experience: Minimum of 4 years post-trade mechanical experience within mining, heavy industrial or mobile equipment maintenance.Basic computer skills, experience in maintenance management systems.Pronto system experience or other enterprise system.Ability to work within safety systems.Knowledge: Understanding of equipment used for mineral processing, water treatment and materials handling.Understanding of distributed process control system application and plant automation.Benefits of working at Sibanye Stillwater Australia: Competitive remuneration with performance-based incentives.Salary packaging.Part of a multinational mining and metals processing group.Application Process: Applicants interested in exploring this position are invited to apply with details of working history and qualifications using the "apply for this job" link.
