Northern Beaches Council, NSW, AustraliaOptimal RecruitmentPermanent full time roleAnnual 3% incentive bonus + 17.5% leave loadingOur client is an established Northern Beaches company whose innovative products have led them to become world leaders in their field.They are growing from strength to strength, and this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join their talented, supportive team.Duties and ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Fitting Shop Team Leader this role will include bench fitting and assembly and testing of all products.Examine detailed drawings or specifications to find out job, material and equipment requirements.Set up and adjust metalworking machines and equipment.Operate machines to produce parts or tools by turning, boring, milling, planning, shaping, slotting, grinding or drilling metal stock or components.Fit and assemble metal parts, tools or sub-assemblies, including the welding or brazing of parts.Dismantle faulty tools and assemblies and repair or replace defective parts.Check accuracy and quality of finished parts, tools or sub-assemblies.Experience RequiredHigh regard for safety in the workplace.Problem solving for continuous improvement using LEAN principles and tools.Minimum 2 years' experience working as a Fitter / Turner.Work within a Team environment to ensure optimal value is delivered to the customer.Ability to meet physical requirements including; a variety of standing, sitting and walking throughout the day.Opportunities for development and career progression.Established manufacturing organisation with 75+ years' industry experience and part of a wider global brand.Salary paid Wednesday fortnightly.APPLY NOW by sending your up to date Resume to or for a confidential chat call Julie on.#J-18808-Ljbffr
