This is a Full Time Permanent Role, Monday to Friday (38 hour working week). Overtime will be offered in this role, as well as Saturday Work where needed. Ensure Sort Systems and related depot equipment is fully maintained. Execution of preventative and predictive maintenance and provide prompt corrective action in cases of unforeseen breakdowns or damages being incurred. This position requires competencies as a Mechanical Fitter with the capacity to undertake broader responsibilities for general depot maintenance. We have two shifts that will require your flexibility to work accommodate; 500am - 1.06pm & 1200pm to 800pm.
What you'll bring Relevant Mechanical Fitter trade certificate or equivalent The ability to work autonomously and also contribute in a small engineering team Experience with maintenance of complex industrial facilities Calm and methodical engagement style Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Understanding of PLC, VSD and SCADA installations General knowledge of carton and package handling conveyor systems Experience with conveying equipment, hydraulics and pneumatics Stick and mig welding capability The ability to pass a pre-employment medical and police check Flexibility to work on mechanical equipment Capacity to utilise computerised maintenance management (MEX) software systems effectively Ability to participate in continuous improvement initiatives An inclusive workplace, works for everyone We celebrate difference.
