About the Role
The WA Iron Ore team is currently looking to connect with fixed plant mechanical tradespeople who would be interested in joining our world-class maintenance teams in the near future. Having the right people working within our organisation focusing on our maintenance will allow us to unlock the value of our assets by ensuring that we have reliable equipment, predictable operations and a safe work environment for our people.
We will have a number of roles operating on an 8/6, 7/7 roster FIFO from Perth. In these roles, you will be responsible for executing a maintenance schedule on fixed plant equipment. You will be actively involved in the planning and scoping of work to be executed in PM outages and making maintenance and operating decisions either as individuals or as a team to ensure the safety, reliability and efficiency of our assets.
Your duties may include:
An overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development.
Undertaking preventative maintenance inspections in accordance with maintenance planning systems and recommending appropriate follow-up action.
Undertake and implement improvements to work instructions and planned maintenance strategies.
Working from hydraulic schematic drawings, prints, plans or manuals.
Carrying out all activities within the whole-of-job scope, including pre-work, preparation of JHAs and/or DWPs, organising materials, execution, testing and completion of tasks.
Be self-directed, ensuring that operating and maintenance targets are achieved.
Take responsibility for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of fixed plant.
About You
As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:
Australian recognized Mechanical Trade Certificate (Mechanical Fitter, Fitter & Turner/Machinist or Hydraulics).
Minimum of C class Manual Driver's License.
Breakdown/Fault finding experience.
Experience working with heavy fixed plant.
Component changeouts and experience with gearbox/pulley alignments, also the use of laser alignment equipment.
HRWL, Rigging (Basic), EWP, Working at Heights, Confined Space training and current MSIC.
