Job Details In this role, you will develop valuable skills, learning to assemble and install new and modified mechanical assemblies, components, machine tools, controls, and hydraulic power systems.
You will gain experience in the service and maintenance of hydraulic and mechanical equipment, all in a workshop environment alongside experienced tradespeople.
You will also be responsible for: Service and maintenance of hydraulic and mechanical equipmentHose assembly and testingAssisting with stores and logistics when requiredInstallation and commissioning of hydraulic equipment and systemsPerforming and directing field tests, including pressure testing and equipment flushingSelecting tools and equipment required for tasksManufacturing new hydraulic systemsAssembling and installing new and modified mechanical assemblies, components, machine tools, controls, and hydraulic power systemsAssisting Mechanical Engineers and Engineering Tradespeople as requiredHours: Monday to Friday, 6:30 am to 4:00 pm.
This four-year apprenticeship will equip you to become a qualified Mechanical Fitter and earn your MEM30219 Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade.
