In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the day-to-day operations of the airbrake workshop, ensuring smooth production flow and assisting the broader team when needed.Key Responsibilities:Oversee daily workshop activities and maintain operational efficiency.Track and manage the flow of parts, cores, and consumables.Delegate tasks to the trades team and ensure completion.Maintain a clean and organized workshop.Monitor and manage the calibration of all necessary equipment.Ensure all relevant quality documentation is up to date.Track production progress and weekly schedules.Provide technical support across the workshop as needed.Coordinate reactive maintenance on equipment when required.About You:To be successful in this role, you should have:A Mechanical Trade qualification and hands-on experience in a related field.(Desirable) HRWL Forklift license and First Aid certification.(Desirable) Pneumatic or Hydraulic experience and Airbrake component experience.A solid understanding of production, manufacturing, or process environments.The ability to implement new ideas and contribute to performance improvements.Strong communication skills and the ability to build proactive relationships with staff and key stakeholders.What We Offer:Competitive hourly rate including leave loading.Access to employee assistance programs for you and your family.Discounts on health insurance, travel, vehicles, and more through the AIA Vitality wellness program.Ongoing training and career development opportunities.Flexible working arrangements to support work-life balance.About UGLUGL is a leading provider of engineering, construction, and maintenance services across industries including rail and transport, communications, oil and gas, power, renewables, and more.
