Apprentice FitterCompany: Weir Minerals Beresfield Onsite
Purpose of Role:
As the Apprentice Fitter, you will undertake a Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade Fitting and will learn all aspects of pump fitting.
Weir has an extensive range of vertical and horizontal pumps, including centrifugal, axial flow, vertical cantilever, and submersible pumps.
This role involves being motivated to learn a complex trade and maintain a high level of work standard in our world-class workshop.
Commencing January 2025 - perfect for current school leavers.
Key Responsibilities:Develop the skills to undertake pump assembly and inspections.Learn all aspects of dismantling, tagging parts, testing, repairing, and reassembly of pumps and other equipment.Work within safe work practices and adhere to all company values, policies, standards, and procedures.Identify, record, and recommend or initiate action to solve problems relating to product and process quality.Complete Quality, Safety, and hold point documents.Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:Experience in a trade assistant or laboring role (highly beneficial).Keen to learn and grow.We love team players and someone who has great energy to bring to the team.Good verbal and written communication skills.You must be a Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen to apply.Why choose Weir:Be part of a global organization dedicated to building a better future:
