They currently require a Mechanical Engineering Technician to join their team in Geraldton, WA.
The Mechanical Engineering Technician is responsible for conveyor belt supply, installation, belt auditing, reporting, and maintenance in support of our Mechanical Engineers and Engineering Technologists.
Key responsibilities include:
Assisting the mechanical engineer with mechanical design and maintenance tasks.Developing and implementing mechanical maintenance plans to prevent costly equipment breakdowns.Documenting processes and maintaining mechanical service records.Installing and performing diagnostic tests on mechanical conveyor systems.Maintaining a tidy work environment and adhering to industry regulations.Monitoring the availability of parts and replenishing supplies, such as idlers, pulleys, cleaners, dribble chutes, etc.Optimizing mechanical efficiency by adjusting conveyor belt machinery and equipment settings.Training co-workers on the safe and efficient use of mechanical machinery and equipment.Troubleshooting mechanical malfunctions and breakdowns, as well as performing repairs.To be considered, you will need:
An appropriate tertiary qualification such as an AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma and at least 3 years of relevant post-qualification employment experience with particular reference to conveyor belt mechanical engineering ORAt least 5 years of relevant employment experience with particular reference to conveyor belt mechanical engineering.An attractive salary is on offer to the successful candidate.
