SUVO Strategic Minerals are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our team based in Pittong, Victoria.
You will be responsible for:
Assemble and install new and modified mechanical assemblies, components, machine tools and controls, and hydraulic power systems;Assist the Engineering Team in the design and improvement of mechanical equipment;Collect, analyse data and prepare diagrams and drawings;Ensure that company policies and procedures are adhered to in day-to-day tasks and finished work are within specifications, regulations and safety standards;Estimate material costs, quantities and machine requirements;Document maintenance activities and report any issues to supervisors;Organise, supervise inspection and maintenance of machines and plant;Oversee fitters to ensure mechanical, electrical and hydraulic assemblies are installed as per plans and designs;Perform and direct field tests;Select appropriate tools and equipment for specific tasks for projects;Undertake special projects as instructed by the Department Supervisor or Company Directors;Work both in a team environment and without supervision;Collaborate with other team members to optimise plant efficiency.To be considered you will need:
A qualification relevant to being a Mechanical Technician and at least two years of relevant post qualification employment experience ORAt least 3 years of relevant employment experience as a Mechanical Technician.A remuneration package between $82,000 - $85,000 will be offered to the successful candidate.
