About the role
Location: Callide Power Station
This is a residential role based at Callide Power Station, 4 days per week (Monday- Thursday or Tuesday – Friday), 36.25 hours per week.
As a Mechanical Engineering Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Engineering Superintendent by providing expert asset management services. Your focus will be on enhancing plant performance, availability, and cost-effectiveness through the development of capital projects and improved processes. You will ensure that our assets are operated safely and sustainably, with a keen eye on extending life expectancy.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement controls for key asset risks to ensure safety and reliability. Carry out activities to meet asset-related regulatory compliance. Develop and manage projects that deliver sustained and improved plant performance cost-effectively. Manage plant changes to foster innovation while protecting the asset. Develop and implement maintenance and engineering strategies using reliability-centred maintenance practices. Contribute to the asset life cycle strategy to optimise performance and longevity. About You:
Strong understanding of asset management principles and practices Proven experience in developing and implementing maintenance strategies Proven experience in identifying and implementing asset improvement plans. 5 years' experience with thermal power station type equipment. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
