Position:Procurement and Estimation Engineer Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: $75,000 plus superannuation per annum

Our client is seeking a full-time Procurement and Estimation Engineer to join their team located in Mount Kuring-Gai, New South Wales.
Duties and Responsibilities:Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for pump systems, considering all direct and indirect costs, including factors such as pump type, size, and capacity.Analyse project specifications, drawings, and Bill of Materials (BOM) to understand the project requirements and identify the pumps and related equipment needed.Research and obtain quotes from suppliers for pumps, motors, valves, and other equipment required for the project.Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to ensure that estimates are accurate and competitive.Preparing cost estimates for pump repair and maintenance services.Creating cost estimates for new pump installations.Estimate the labour costs associated with installation, testing, and commissioning of the pumps.Manage project budgets and identify areas for cost savings.Review and update estimates as project details evolve.Involved in value engineering exercises to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or performance.Conduct market research to identify cost-effective solutions.Purchase Order Management: Creating and issuing purchase orders to suppliers, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with procurement policies.Supplier Management: Identifying, evaluating, and selecting reliable suppliers to ensure a consistent supply of quality goods and services.Procurement Planning: Developing and implementing procurement strategies to meet organizational goals and objectives.Request for Proposal (RFP) and Tender Processes: Preparing, issuing, and evaluating RFPs and tenders to select the most suitable suppliers.Contract Negotiation: Negotiating favourable terms and conditions with suppliers, including pricing, delivery schedules, and quality standards.Inventory Management: Monitoring inventory levels and optimizing stock to minimize holding costs and avoid stockouts.Cost Control: Implementing cost-saving measures and negotiating favourable deals to reduce expenses and improve profitability.Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating potential risks associated with procurement, such as supplier failures or supply chain disruptions.Performance Monitoring: Tracking supplier performance and resolving any issues or disputes that may arise.Compliance: Ensuring adherence to procurement policies, procedures, and legal regulations.Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.At least one (1) year of prior experience as a Procurement and Estimation Engineer. #J-18808-Ljbffr
