Programmed have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineering Diesel Fitter Apprentice in Roma QLD.
We are seeking applicants that have a passion for mechanics, enjoy hands-on work and have a 'Can Do' attitude with a willingness to learn.

Duties and benefits within this apprenticeship may include:Inspect, service, and repair plant machinery/equipmentDiagnostic/repair braking & steering systemsInspect, service, repair - diagnostic cooling systems, emissions systems and air-conditioning systemsProperly maintain material tools and equipmentAssist in carrying out light fabrication workUse of hand and power toolsAssist in cleaning and keeping the workshops and surroundings tidyAssist with maintaining daily records of plant, labor and materials usedFull-time contract with Annual Leave, Sick Leave and Public Holiday payMandatory RequirementsPassion and interest in mechanicsOHS Construction White Card essential prior to commencementMotivated and willing to learnReliable and have a positive attitudeDriver's Licence and reliable transportCompetent numeracy & literacy skillsCompleted year 10 High School CertificateUndertake TAFE studies and complete at a satisfactory level, within a timely mannerComply with safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment and to ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety LegislationTAFE Studies:TAFE will be completed in blocks at TAFE QLD and commitment is of the utmost importance for progression in this apprenticeship.
Location:Whilst the Apprenticeship is based in a fixed Warwick and Roma workshop, you may be required to work anywhere in the surrounding region with breakdowns and field work.
This may include working away on projects if the business requires, so you must be flexible to the requirements of the role.
Applicants must live in the Warwick or Roma regions please.
Prior to offer of employment, the successful applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical examination 'fit for work' (including passing a drug and alcohol screen).
