Mechanical Engineer with Pneumatic System ExperienceAircom Group Pty Limited is an Australian owned and operated company based in Sydney, maintaining, supplying, and installing Pneumatic Tube Systems in hospitals to mainly transport Pathology samples.
The company has recently been awarded new construction contracts for installing Pneumatic Tube Systems in hospitals including designing, erection, and commissioning.
The Opportunity:To meet the above requirements, we urgently require a qualified Mechanical Engineer with 4 years hands-on technical experience on Sumetzberger Pneumatic Tube Systems.
The position requires planning, managing, and overseeing the assembly, installation, commissioning, and maintenance processes at various sites.
The position will also be responsible for the training of other technicians.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:Plan, prepare, and implement all technical project documentation on nominated Aircom Group Pneumatic Tube system projects including but not limited to OHS&R, QA, Completion certification, Operation manuals, Shop drawings, and Project schedules.Co-ordinate site equipment for the nominated projects.Monitor progress of projects expenditure and take corrective action as necessary.Provide technical information to site installation team, clients, and building supervisor.Oversee the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of the nominated projects.Direct and mentor the current and new PTS technicians.Essential Requirements:Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with at least 4 years full-time experience with Sumetzberger Pneumatic Tube Systems.A valid driver's licence.This is a full-time position with a normal working week of minimum 38 hours, usually between 7.30am and 4.00pm.
The position reports to the National Technical Manager.
The position is based in NSW but may require travelling and working in QLD and VIC, depending on the company's requirements.
Salary Range: $75,000 to $85,000
