Mechanical Engineer - Perth

Mills Recruitment is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our client on a 12 month contract in Perth. Our Client delivers projects in every Australian state and territory across a portfolio spanning:

Mines
Minerals processing facilities
LNG installations
Refineries
Chemical plants
Power stations
Procurement services
Telecommunications infrastructure

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will:

Participate in the design, development, and evaluation of mechanical components and processes.
Collaborate and support other engineering disciplines for mechanical matters.
Utilize your professional work knowledge and abilities through the application of standard mechanical engineering techniques and criteria to make impactful contributions to the team.
Perform design of mechanical systems for materials handling including crushers, screens, conveyors, and pumps.
Conduct calculations and preliminary analysis leading to technical design recommendations.
Prepare material requisitions, specifications, and other procurement related documents.
Assist in the evaluation of suppliers and technical bid evaluations.
Coordinate with mechanical designers to produce layouts for crushing plants, screening plants, conveyors, and pump stations.
Experience in chute design methods, both continuum and discrete element modelling, would be beneficial.

You will require:

A bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience.
Computer skills including competence in MS Office suite and other common software.
Flexibility and enthusiasm for individual and team tasks.
Analytical problem-solving capabilities.
Demonstrated skills in oral and written communication.
