We are actively seeking the talents of a highly capable Engineer to provide project first line of assurance (governance) to capital project groups. The role assures capital projects within BHP Copper SA have applied BHP Global and site engineering requirements, BHP material risk critical controls, and our legal obligations to their designs. With a wide group of stakeholders and customers, you have the opportunity to work across a broad range of site areas and projects.This is an Adelaide based role working within a team that works flexibly to suit individual needs.In this role you will:Have a strong focus on Safety, Safety Leadership, Risk and SustainabilityEnsure consistent fit for purpose engineering standards are applied, and conformance with the BHP Charter, the BHP Global Standards, Our Code and relevant legislation.Provide technical guidance and knowledge to support projects, engineering service providers, maintenance, operations, third parties and contractors to align with Copper SA engineering standards.Review, update and approve the complete set of technical documentation (engineering standards, equipment standards, specifications, datasheets, procedures, programs and drawings) from which the Operation is designed, constructed, operated and maintained.Validate the content of technical documentation is maintained to reflect the 'as built' condition as per authorized modifications and changes.About YouMechanical Engineering Degree qualification with eligibility to apply for Engineers Australia CPEng registrationDesired to have experience in a variety of areas including Pumps, Tanks, Piping, Valves, Conveyors, Smelters, Pressure equipment and minerals processing equipment.
