A Lead Mechanical Building Services Role based in Adelaide Your new company Our client is an award-winning, international, tier 1 design consultancy who works across a variety of sectors. This client is big on culture and individual fit as well as technical ability. Your new role Are you a senior mechanical engineer looking for your next challenge? This role gives you the opportunity to develop both professionally and personally. You will be expected to lead a team of mechanical engineers, designers and drafters. Exhibit a high level of technical expertise, oversight and guidance to ensure the successful completion of projects. Engage in HVAC engineering encompassing tasks such as, heat load calculations, equipment and reticulation sizing and selection, as well as co-ordination and documentation for building structures. Manage small, medium and large sized projects throughout their entire lifecycle. These projects are based in a variety of Australian states. Handle mechanical design for various building projects, including generating reports, conducting studies, performing design calculations, creating drawing and specifying requirements. You will have the opportunity to thrive in a client-facing role with the ability to develop business. Act as a senior representative for the company, managing client relationships. Lead and mentor junior colleagues offering guidance and education to enhance their ability. Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels to ensure project success. What you'll need to succeed Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering Substantial HVAC design experience on building projects. Prior building services design consultancy experience. Exposure to health and defence projects is preferable. Successful track record in leading others. Display commitment to establishing and nurturing client relationships to foster repeat business opportunities. Time management and prioritisation skills to juggle multiple projects and lead multidisciplinary teams.
