Our project will enable approximately 1 million electric vehicles to go on the road, every year for the next 50 years. We are proud to foster a culture where people with different skills, experiences and backgrounds are welcomed and set-up for success.The RoleThis role is responsible for providing technical guidance and support to the Covalent Lithium refinery commissioning team with the key objective of ensuring seamless commissioning of equipment and enabling stable performance verification and process plant start-up. Post commissioning this role will assume responsibility for the reliability process for the Refinery.This is a full time, permanent position based at our Kwinana refinery. Key Responsibilities Commissioning – develop and implement commissioning plans, procedures and inspection test reports(ITRs).Project Scope – proactively manage changes in project scope; provide technical expertise and interpretation of original design intent; develop and execute scopes for plant/equipment modification/improvement.Vendor management – support onboarding of vendors and service contracts for technical/engineering support in commissioning; Develop/review contractor work method statements, works procedures, and ITP's for specific works.Equipment Performance – Provide technical assurance and support during start-up and early operation to ensure equipment performs as per requirements defined during detailed engineering design. Defect Elimination – responsible for the deployment and ongoing management of the defect elimination process. Interface across all Covalent functions to ensure the project delivers Covalent's and shareholders' requirements. Role RequirementsUniversity degree in Mechanical Engineering.Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering roles within mineral processing or heavy industrial plants.Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with others eg, E&I and mechanical trades, production technicians, and liaise with all levels of the organisation such as supervisors, engineers, and managers. Previous project management experience, demonstrating the ability to lead and deliver successful projects on time and within budget.Expertise in conducting root cause analysis investigations to address plant/equipment issues effectively.Demonstrated competency in the use of SAP or similar maintenance management systems.A competitive remuneration package commensurate with the role, candidate experience, skills and qualifications will be offered. Our team members are encouraged to bring their whole selves to work.
