Initial 6 month contract (view to extend)$110-120 per hourAbout the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced MTEC Mechanical Engineer to join our client's team and contribute to a significant project. They are a leading Australian manufacturing organisation. This role involves supporting the development and implementation of operational readiness strategies, ensuring a seamless transition to operations.
Key Responsibilities: Safety and Environmental Leadership: Adhere to safety standards, contribute to a safe work environment, and participate in safety initiatives.MTEC Development: Support the development of Manuals, Training, Equipment, and Commissioning (MTEC) documentation.Operational Readiness: Contribute to the planning and execution of operational readiness activities.Technical Expertise: Apply strong mechanical engineering knowledge to address project challenges.Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with project teams, operations personnel, and other stakeholders.Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.Problem-Solving: Analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.Documentation: Prepare clear and concise technical documentation.Qualifications and Experience: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.Proven experience in heavy industry, preferably in steel or mining.Strong understanding of ASMAP operations and equipment.Experience in project delivery, particularly in brownfield projects.Knowledge of operational readiness and commissioning processes.Strong technical writing and communication skills.Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., CAD, CAE).A commitment to safety, quality, and environmental sustainability.What We Offer: Competitive daily rate.Opportunities for professional development and career growth.A supportive and collaborative work environment.The chance to work on a significant project that will impact the industry. #J-18808-Ljbffr
