Your opportunity at FIELD As a Mechanical Engineer, based in our Gladstone Office, you'll use your engineering and analytical expertise to work closely with our clients developing creative solutions to their engineering challenges.
You'll be working on heavy industrial plant and large mining equipment.
A focus of the role will be providing data acquisition and metrology services using our state-of-the-art scanning and tracking equipment.
You will also be conducting inspections, plant audits and associated reporting; preparing lift plans and drawings; and working on mechanical design and analysis.
The position will suit you if you have 2 to 3 years' experience and are keen for a mix of office and site and project work.
What you'll bring To succeed in this role, you will: Be degree qualified – B Eng (Mechanical) or similar.
Enjoy working autonomously to get stuff done.
Be solutions focused and enjoy finding a workable outcome to sometimes daunting problems.
Bring skills in design (AutoCAD, SolidWorks), analysis (ANSYS, SPACEGASS), job management.
Have experience in metrology, surveying and alignment using laser trackers and Lidar scanners.
We'd also love you to: Be a confident communicator focused on developing relationships with your clients and other project stakeholders.
Enjoy getting out and about on site.
You'll need to be reasonably fit as this role will require carrying equipment, climbing stairs and ladders and working at heights and in confined spaces.

Here's what you need to know about pay and benefits.
Expect around $90,000 per annum based on a 38 hour week if you are early in your career.
Higher rates are on offer depending on the skills and experience that you bring.
We will pay you for every hour worked.
