Reporting to the Production Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving mechanical systems and components used in our manufacturing processes.Key ResponsibilitiesThis is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong technical background, exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment to work with a market leading company covering a wide variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to:Create and develop detailed mechanical designs for new products and systems, utilizing CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) to generate 3D models and engineering drawings.Oversee the prototyping process, including the selection of materials, components, and manufacturing techniques.Conduct simulations and tests to validate designs, ensuring they meet performance, reliability and safety standards.Develop project plans, including timelines, resource allocation and budget estimates, ensuring alignment with company goals.Collaborate with manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.Monitor project progress, identifying and mitigating risks to keep projects on schedule and within budget.The Successful CandidateThe successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that engineering solutions meet production demands and quality standards. You will ideally have:Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
