Our Engineering division designs and constructs manufacturing facilities, refurbishes existing facilities and designs and constructs automation plant for manufacturing plants and warehouses.PositionWe are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering Team based in Mount Gambier.Position Duties and Responsibilities:Design and detailing of machinery and parts using AutoCAD and 3D Modelling software.Commissioning Automation wood ManufacturingProcurement of materials and parts for engineering projects.Machine construction & testing in Somersby workshop.Factory automation design for plant upgrades, optimisation and new projects.Layout drawings for project proposal, planning and execution.Calculations to analyse throughput and performance.Attributes and Experience:Experience in 2D or 3D CAD drafting, including ability to produce manufacturing drawingsExperience in Mechanical design and AutomationAbility to understand and apply mechanical concepts and principlesProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.About You:Qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering (or similar degrees), Diploma Mechanical Engineering with experienceExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to learn quickly and be proactive.Excellent time management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritise and meet targets.Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently either independently or as part of a team.Hold a current driver's licenceThis is a full-time permanent position within our Engineering Team.

Attention to detail and highest quality workmanship are paramount.As part of the selection process, applicants must be prepared to undergo a pre-employment medical examination which includes functional, audiometric and drug and alcohol testing.
Rate will be negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
