Our client is a professional engineering & construction company with multi disciplined competence in piping, pumping, pipelines and bore fields, water supply and associated civil, mechanical, electrical and controls works RESPONSIBILITIES: Preparation of and revision to drawings as part of the design team.
Draft as constructed revisions after receipt of red pen mark-ups for site.
Site measurements for incorporation into design drawings.
Drawing and documentation management Management of QDMS software including the production of transmittals as required upon drawing revision.
Role may include project engineering tasks such as site layouts, piping and mechanical calculations, sizing pumps and other mechanical equipment, P&IDs All work in accordance with our clients Design Management procedures Create, maintain and update design documentation such as valve and equipment specifications, data sheets, Safety and Operations Manuals, Vendor Manuals, Functional Control Descriptions.
Project Engineering and onsite assistance as required.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Proficiency with latest copy of AutoCAD Computer literacy, MS Office and IT skills Working knowledge of piping, mechanical, civil and structural details Diploma of Engineering (preferably Mechanical) or similar Design/Drafting qualifications.
Knowledge of documentation and drawing management systems.
Excellent English and communication skills.
Flexible attitude and enthusiasm to learn.
Clean class C drivers license Experience in water related engineering infrastructure design and drafting Previous experience with site measurements and as built review of construction.
Desire to proactively contribute to the team and company in any way.
Able to work in a team or as a lone operator.
Self sufficient and able to fully complete assigned work with limited supervision.
Sense of ownership of role.
Keen to learn and to acquire skills and develop within the Company.
