About the role:
This role reports to the Engineering ManagerCreate 3D models and 2D drawings from customer specifications, or through approved modifications to existing products.Contribute to the overall Engineering objectives, through organisation-wide directives, project deadlines and other deliverables.What's on offer:

Generate Bill of Materials and detailing of manufacturing drawingsLiaise closely with sales and manufacturing staff to ensure the work is as per customer requirements and according to industry best practicesProvide technical assistance to production, and fabrication as requiredFile drawings as well as maintain and update all relevant design documentsParticipate in formal Engineering reviews, working groups, design reviews, and other forumsComply with Tectonica policies, processes and instructions including those relating to safety, duty of care and the Quality Management SystemWork with internal and external stakeholders to discuss and agree on designs as well as explore improvement opportunitiesTo succeed in this role, you will have:
A degree in Engineering or Mechanical trade2+Years experience in the use of 3D CAD software packages, preferably SolidWorksProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and OutlookStrong communication skills (written and verbal)Attention to detail and good record keeping is essentialAbility to estimate the required drafting hours for a specific design and manage time accordinglyExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to support a team that develops creative and innovative solutionsIndividuals with experience in industries such as Rail/Transport, Medical, Automotive or Commercial Electronics are encouraged to apply.
Must have Australian Citizenship as a minimum.
