Mechanical Design Draftsperson

Your Role
Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment, dies, tools,and controls using SolidWorks.  Demonstrate expertise in sheet metal design and the creation of weldment drawings. Collaborate with engineers and other professionals on project teams to create and modify designs Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs. Provide support to the engineering team in product development and design customization. Conduct design calculations and assessments to meet project specifications. Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety norms, and client requirements. Work closely with fabricators and production teams to resolve design issues. About You Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field or maybe a mechanical trades background with a diploma in mechanical engineering or a Cert IV in mechanical drafting  Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design with SolidWorks essential.  Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, especially in sheet metal fabrication and weldments. Proven track record of creating complex mechanical drawings and 3D models. Excellent technical and project management skills. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
